YouTube has a lot of recital clips, many privately recorded by people in the audience using small portable devices. As many of you know, it's not hard to find clips featuring Ivan Moravec these days. But one person in particular seems to have made a project of it. By recent count, there are 12 audio clips from live recitals in the Czech Republic, London, and Paris, all posted on this page: http://www.youtube.com/user/Ahasver2009. I haven't listened to all of them yet, but the Chopin Nocturnes from the Pilsen 9/2009 recital are lovely.

Ivan Moravec plays the Grieg Piano Concerto -- who knew?

statework.blogspot.comprovides this link: http://www.mediafire.com/?ygiuy1moohm, which points to a zip archive containing three MP3 files of a live Ivan Moravec performance of the Grieg Piano Concerto with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Christopher Keene conducting. The date is either 1983 or 1984. If it's news to you that this concerto was in his repertory, you're not alone. In any case, I hope you're able to download and enjoy it.
