Cannes Classical Lifetime Achievement Award
The Cannes Classical Award awarded Ivan Moravec its prestigious Lifetime Achievement award for 2002, together with Robert Craft and Micheal Gielen; past winners have included Alfred Brendel, Galina Vishnevskaya, Mstislav Rostropovic, and Sir Charles Mackerras.

Czech Republic Medal of Merit
On the occasion of the Czech Republic National Day, President Vaclav Havel presented Ivan Moravec with the Medal of Merit for outstanding artistic achievements. The ceremony was held at Vladislav Hall, Prague Castle, on October 28, 2000.
Charles IV International Prize
Charles University, the renowned and historic institute of learning in Prague, selected Ivan Moravec as the winner of this year's Charles IV International Prize, in recognition of his life-time contribution to music.
The Charles IV Prize is among the most important awards for service to humanity given in the Czech Republic. Previous recipients have included the philosopher, Paul Ricoer, and the cellist, Mstislav Rostropovic.
The award ceremony took place in the Old Town Hall, Prague, on November 22, 2000.
Supraphon Jubilee
For its 70th Anniversary Jubilee in 2000, the Supraphon Record Company marked its long, successful association with Ivan Moravec by presenting him with two award discs.
The platinum record commemorates over 275,000 Ivan Moravec discs sold by Supraphon.
The gold record recognizes Moravec's acclaimed recording of the Mozart Piano Concertos No. 14, 23, 25 (SU 3067-2 011, featured in the Recordings section of this Web site). Since its first pressing in 1975, Supraphon has sold over 57,000 copies.
